About the Event Five years. Thank you.

When we dealt the first hand at this tournament five years ago, we hoped it would cover a few pieces of gear. What it has become is something we did not expect: a room that fills up every single year with neighbors who show up, buy in, and keep a volunteer fire department running.

The Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department relies entirely on fundraising to operate. Every dollar raised at this table has gone back into our firefighters and the tools they work with. Because of you, we have been able to acquire:

• Thermal imaging cameras for structural firefighting
• Stabilization equipment for traffic collision response
• A Zoll Autopulse CPR device used multiple times already
• Extensive concrete work at the Station 62 training center

That last one deserves a word. The volunteers fund the improvements to the training center themselves, and the concrete added over the past couple of years turned it into a facility that serves far more than our own crews. Departments from across the Divide and from surrounding agencies train there. When your neighbor's house is on fire, the odds are good that whoever pulls the line learned part of that job on ground you helped pour.

We are proud to serve our community through a strong volunteer program, and this event helps keep us going!

• $100 Buy-in → 4,000 starting chips (6,000 if purchased by September 30, see Early Bird above)
• $40 Optional Dealer Add-on → 10,000 chips (only available during the 1st break)
• $20 Re-buy → 3,000 chips (available until the 1st break)
• 4-hour limit, blind levels adjusted to fit time frame

🍽 Dinner: 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM 🍸 No-host bar with servers

Prizes 🏆 Prizes to be announced. Check back soon! As a charity event, prizes will be tangible items only (no cash), per California state law. Maximum prize value: $500 per prize, $5,000 total for all prizes.
