  1. Obtain Street Name Approval: Before assigning a name to your street, it is necessary to obtain approval from the El Dorado County Surveyor's Office. Once you receive County approval, you can proceed to the next step.
  2. Order Street Signs: To meet the County's standards, you can conveniently order street signs through the Georgetown Fire Protection District. Please note that a fee applies for these signs. The signs feature a reflective green background with white lettering, ensuring high visibility even in challenging conditions.
  3. House Numbers and Mounting: Additionally, house numbers are available for order. These numbers play a crucial role in enabling swift identification of your residence during emergencies. When you order house numbers, a post for mounting the sign will be included in the package, making installation a breeze.

Note: Signs will not be shipped. Signs must be picked up at Georgetown Fire on Main St. We will notify you when sign is ready for pickup.
