Georgetown Fire Protection District Announces Upcoming Leadership Change
The Georgetown Fire Protection District Board of Directors has announced that Fire Chief Brown has submitted his resignation, effective November 21, 2025.
The Board extends its sincere appreciation to Chief Brown for his years of dedicated service, strong leadership, and unwavering commitment to the residents of Georgetown and the surrounding communities. Under his guidance, the District has strengthened its operations, supported its personnel, and continued to deliver high-quality emergency services.
As the District moves through this leadership transition, its mission remains unchanged: to provide the exceptional service and rapid emergency response the community has come to expect and rely upon. The Board has initiated the search for the District's next Fire Chief and will keep the community informed as the process progresses.
"Chief Brown's leadership and dedication have left a lasting legacy," said Board President Craig Davis. "We are grateful for his service and wish him continued success in his future endeavors."
Community members are encouraged to stay informed and engaged by attending public Board meetings, where updates regarding the transition will be shared.
