NOTICE OF BOARD VACANCY
Georgetown Fire Protection District
El Dorado County, California

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a vacancy has occurred on the Board of Directors of the Georgetown Fire Protection District due to the resignation of Director Williams, effective April 9, 2026.

Pursuant to California Government Code Section 1780, the Board of Directors intends to fill the vacancy by appointment.

Qualifications
To be eligible for appointment, a person must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be a registered voter
• Reside within the boundaries of the Georgetown Fire Protection District

The appointed director will serve the remainder of the current term, which expires in December 2028.

Applications must be received no later than March 11, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.
