The Georgetown Divide area has experienced significant snow damage over the last few days. Several commercial buildings have completely collapsed under the weight of snow. Several canopies have also collapsed, including one of the fire department’s at our Buckeye station. In addition, several businesses on Main Street have had damage to the sidewalk overhangs and roof systems.
Please continue to use safety as the number one priority when removing snow from roofs. In addition, please be understanding when businesses have closed to ensure their customer’s safety.
PG&E, and their contractors, have been working diligently to restore power upcountry. This has them conducting road blocks at various times and working on Wentworth Springs. Please use caution while driving in the area, so that PG&E can get their work done safely and get the power back to everyone as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding and please be safe!
